Sometime in late September, I decided to walk through the eastern mountains of the Czech Republic, specifically the White Carpathians, Javorníky and Beskydy, and I took a local train from Vraz, which went through a station called Loděnice, where Closely Watched Trains was filmed. I traveled through the Prokopské Valley and took the Oravský Express to Javorník nad Veličkou in the evening, already after sunset, where I found a place for my tent

I arrived to Javorník nad Veličkou already after sunset. It was very windy. I managed to find a place for my tent outside the village. I did not sleep well as it was very noisy whole night due to the strong wind.
The whole 220 km hike to Jablůnkov took 8 days through White Carnations, Javorníky and Beskydy. About two thirds of the trail followed the border between Czech Republic and Slovakia.
